PROJECT HISTORY
The LVGA has been advocating for the Phalanx Road roundabout since 2017, as we were motivated to improve the safety of the Phalanx Road and Campus Drive intersection and reduce the speed of drivers. The LVGA thoroughly examined the traffic conditions at Phalanx Road, studied accident reports, and spoke to local law enforcement, Brookdale College administrators and neighborhood residents to determine the need for the roundabout.

With the help of our generous and loyal members, our organization funded the hiring of traffic engineer and world-renowned roundabout expert Michael J. Wallwork to create the original concept plan that we presented to the township and county. We had the experience of having hired Michael Wallwork in 2003 to convince the County to build a roundabout at the Newman Springs Road entrance to Brookdale College, and that first roundabout has been very successful in managing the traffic flow and improving safety.

The future Phalanx Road roundabout will be the perfect complement to the original roundabout.  Please come out to the meeting to learn more about this exciting improvement for Lincroft!
