Abe’s Way was born out of a long-standing effort to improve traffic safety in Lincroft. For decades, residents and local leaders recognized the challenges created by the one-way traffic pattern along Newman Springs Road and the need for a safer, more efficient roadway. The concept of converting the road to two-way traffic was first discussed nearly 25 years ago, but the project remained dormant until renewed interest and community advocacy brought it back to the forefront. The effort gained special significance through the involvement of longtime Lincroft Village Green Association board member Abe, whose passion for improving the community helped advance the project. Through collaboration among residents, township officials, engineers, and community leaders, the vision eventually became a reality. Today, Abe’s Way stands as both a practical traffic safety improvement and a lasting tribute to the perseverance, dedication, and community spirit that made the project possible.
